Jacob hated this new town. Weird smelling new house, old lady next door? Hated them. Worst thing in his entire twelve years of life? New school filled with retards and teachers trying to drive him crazy.
He sat alone on the playground, clutching a four leaf clover; brow furrowed in concentration, he wished for things to change.
“Hey, dude. I’m Travis, I’m new, too. Wanna be friends?”
Jake glanced up to see a blonde boy who didn’t look like a total idiot, “Sure, why not?”
Travis smiled, “Good, I hate this place!”
Jake smiled back, “Me, too… that’s a start!”
