This community has been created as a challenge-oriented place for fiction drabble writers to warm up and have a little fun. Drabbles can be a great tool to help writers who have been struggling with writer's block, and are a great way to practice saying a lot in a little space.

Each week, a new prompt will be posted (chosen by using a random word generator, community member suggestion, or mod's choice). Writers will post their drabbles relative to the current prompt, until the next challenge is issued.

Prompts are issued on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

1) When posting a drabble, create a new post, and follow this format as closely as possible:

*If something is not worksafe, please include "NSFW" in bold letters for the rating, and make sure the drabble is hidden under a cut.

2) Drabbles must be limited to exactly 100 words each. (Title doesn't count.)
3) Multiple drabbles can be placed in one post. If you have more than three drabbles in one post, use a cut. Please limit your posts to one per day, to prevent flooding members' Reading Page.
4) When posting drabbles, feel free to add appropriate tags (author tag and any appropriate prompt tags). New tags will be added by admin and applied as soon as possible.
5) Do not link to drabbles in other communities or in your own journal. Drabbles in their entirety must be placed in this community (that way if you delete your journal, we'll still have the drabbles).
6) If you miss a prompt, you may post a drabble using that old prompt at any time, as long as the rest of the rules are followed.
7) No flaming or trolling. Constructive criticism only.
8) No promotion posts. If you want to promote your community, contact the admin to affiliate (see below).
9) No spam.
