The light was harsh even through his closed eyelids. Trajan tried to lift a hand to shield against it, but couldn't. He strained to remember what he'd been up to. Too much of a good time last night? Or not good enough, leaving him prowling for a good fight? Maybe the latter; the back of his head stung, like someone had kicked him hard enough to split his scalp. His arm still wouldn't move. He couldn't have been hit that hard, could he?
Finally pried apart his eyelids. Stared at the lights. Too bright, surgical lights.
Definitely a bad night.
