Challenge/Prompt: #76 - Wasteland

Warnings: Implied drug use.
Drug paraphernalia littered the bed, surrounding the two lifeless bodies he was supposed to be photographing. For a moment, the items strewn about almost seemed to take on a pattern, as if someone had thoughtfully placed them that way.
This was a routine crime scene with no suspects. Two junkies had gotten into some bad stuff without knowing it, no doubt trying to escape the wasteland their lives had become.
They looked so alive, so vital; it was creeping him out in ways he couldn't explain. The stress of seeing all these dead bodies was definitely catching up to him.
