Summary: Charles will never admit this, so he doesn't venture too far into it.
Author's Notes: Canon compliant. Takes place in Cuba.

When he sees the helmet, feels the cold metal in his hands, he realizes everything what Charles can be, what Charles can do for him and to him.
With only a tap of fingertips to his forehead, Charles can suggest, twist and erase the core of his mind, obliterating and destroying his utter sense of self.
Only Charles’ morals (gray ones at that, at times, he knows, but Charles will never admit this, so he doesn’t venture too far into it) hold him back, keep him restrained and useless.
With that thought, Erik puts the helmet on and changes everything.
