Laying down on their backs on the crazy patterned blanket that Dirk had brought with a stocked lunch, the two men relaxed, watching the white puffy clouds breeze by overhead.  With no schedule to pull at them, Dirk deicided he needed to get Al out of the engineering room and out to see what was outside for once. 

As they lay there, listening to the sounds of nature, Dirk did make one move, letting his hand move till it encountered his friend and lover and soon was holding it, sharing this bit of quiet, that was rare in their lives.
