Summary: Paladins hunt the worst beings.
Author's Notes: The Pathwalkers are mine mine mine.
Ailith stepped lightly among the scattered corpses, tossed like ragdolls and left to lie with as much regard, their usefulness spent. She noted their dying expressions - pain, rejection, horror. The red weals and the patterns of burns, open cuts long since bled dry.
Paused at the bed from which all the other bodies had been so carelessly tossed. Rich red silks and velvets, soft pillows. Bent with care to touch fingers to the throat of the woman bound to it, spread-eagled, nude, abused as all the others. Dead, but still warm.
She drew her blade and freed the corpse.
