Title: Red It Suits You
Challenge/Prompt: #26 Favorite
Original Fiction or Fanfiction [Name of fandom]: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Characters/Pairings: Katara, Zuko, implied Zuko/Katara
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender or it's sandbox. I am just here to play with the toys and create my own alternate reality. :D
Summary: A compliment offers a stunning revelation.
Author's Notes: I hate when I am sick. My muse always finds it necessary to torture me into writing then.
"Red," he had told her one night as they sat on the beach watching the waves dance across the sandy surface, "it suits you, Katara."
A small smile danced upon the corners of her mouth at the compliment. It had been the first he had paid her since their arrival at his family vacation home and Katara had to admit that she liked such compliments. She didn't get them very often from her brother or Aang nor even Toph.
"It's a favorite color of mine," she confessed softly to her companion hoping he would catch her message between the lines.

Title: Lonely Heart
Challenge/Prompt: #27 Element
Original Fiction or Fanfiction [Name of fandom]: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Characters/Pairings: Zuko
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender or it's sandbox. I am just here to play with the toys and create my own alternate reality. :D
Summary: Even in his element, Zuko does not have what he wants the most - Katara
Author's Notes: Nothing really to write.
In his element, he was indestructible.
In his element, he could crush his enemies and bring about his absolute rule within the other countries.
In his element, he could lay claim to the one woman who had been elusive to him since the beginning but she had vanished without a single trace. He had searched the world high and low for her but he had been unable to find Katara anywhere.
Even with his element surrounding him in shades of blues and oranges, he could feel the heavy weight of his heart.
He felt empty without Katara at his side.

Title: A Dangerous Game
Challenge/Prompt: #28 Wrath
Original Fiction or Fanfiction [Name of fandom]: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Characters/Pairings: Suki, Zhao
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender or it's sandbox. I am just here to play with the toys and create my own alternate reality. :D
Summary: Suki learns from Zhao that the game they have been playing can have dangerous consequences once Zuko learns the truth.
Author's Notes: My muse wrote this on her own. No idea where she got this little drabble from. I can only surmise from a much older story that had played in my head so long ago.
"No, I can't," Zhao replied, stopping Suki again in her tracks, "but you can stop yourself. Now you can tell Zuko about how we tricked him but I think you should know about what will happen if you do. I wouldn't want you to witness his wrath because, believe me, his wrath is far worse than his Father's." He paused for a moment and saw for the first time panic and horror written upon her face. "And I would advise your friend Katara not to count on living out her natural lifespan because surely she won't and neither will you."

Title: No Escape
Challenge/Prompt: #29 Midnight
Original Fiction or Fanfiction [Name of fandom]: Yu-Gi-Oh!
Characters/Pairings: Anzu/Atemu
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! or it's sandbox. I am just here to play with the toys and create my own alternate reality. :D
Summary: As midnight drew closer, Anzu tries to escape Atemu's possessiveness.
Author's Notes: I have no idea exactly where my muse came up with this one. I can only fathom she wanted something somewhat dark.
The midnight hour was drawing closer.
Mazaki Anzu was doing everything possible to escape through the throng of partiers but the more she made it towards the center, the more the crowd seemed to thicken around her making it nearly impossible to reach the doors on the other side of the room.
"Going somewhere?" a voice whispered huskily behind her. She could feel his breath caress the shell of her ear. His arms moved to encase her body close to his. "Did you think I would let you leave me?"
"No," she whispered as the clock struck midnight. "Never, Atemu."

Title: Exchange
Challenge/Prompt: #30 Necklace
Original Fiction or Fanfiction [Name of fandom]: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Characters/Pairings: Zuko, Katara
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender or it's sandbox. I am just here to play with the toys and create my own alternate reality. :D
Summary: Zuko tries to tempt Katara into telling him where Aang is with her mother's necklace
Author's Notes: I took this from the Waterbending scroll episode. I am aware that the conversation is not entirely from the series but I decided to take some liberty with it.
"My necklace!" She gasped staring at the thin blue strip with a carved blue stone glistening in the moonlight.
He dangled her mother's necklace before her face in hopes she would cooperate with him and give him the Avatar as he requested. Yet she refused him turning her head away with her nose proudly up in the air. He moved around the tree and held up the necklace again before her eyes hoping to tempt her once more.
"I can return this," he whispered huskily in her ear. "All you have to do is tell me where the Avatar is."

Title: Within His Grasp
Challenge/Prompt: #31 Floor
Original Fiction or Fanfiction [Name of fandom]: Yu-Gi-Oh!
Characters/Pairings: Atem/Anzu
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! or it's sandbox. I am just here to play with the toys and create my own alternate reality. :D
Summary: She tried to run but he finally caught her.
Author's Notes: I get this feeling my muse just enjoys coming up with dark themed stories. No idea where the hell she's getting them either since I haven't read a thing remotely dark. I think it's time to turn on the fluffy cartoons. >>
When she woke up, she found herself laying on the dirty floor. Anzu couldn't remember how she had gotten her and although she tried, her head ached too much to even consider the events that had transpired recently. Had Atem found her? Was that why she was here? She could only fathom it had been his doing and now she was certain he was waiting for her to awaken before he made his presence known.
"Anzu," a voice whispered and out of the shadows Atem appeared. He seemed to be smug now that he had her.
"Atem," she returned terrified.

Title: Safe Within
Challenge/Prompt: #32 Maze
Original Fiction or Fanfiction [Name of fandom]: Yu-Gi-Oh!
Characters/Pairings: Anzu/Atem
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! or it's sandbox. I am just here to play with the toys and create my own alternate reality. :D
Summary: Anzu thinks a maze will keep her safe. How wrong she is.
Author's Notes: Once again my muse decided upon this one. I am guessing she rather enjoys darker characters and finds them far more interesting. So I leave her these to write and do whatever she wants with them.
Anzu moved quickly through the stone maze, going right and then left and left again. She wasn't sure exactly where she was. She had already gotten lost several times within this place but she had no choice but to keep pressing on. Atem was close behind. She could almost hear his calm footsteps coming from behind.
She couldn't remember why she had sought refuge here. At first she thought she was safe within the confining walls but to her dismay he seemed to be able to find her with ease. It didn't matter how many twists and turns she took.

Title: Let It Snow
Challenge/Prompt: #33 Snow
Original Fiction or Fanfiction [Name of fandom]: Yu-Gi-Oh!
Characters/Pairings: Anzu
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! or it's sandbox. I am just here to play with the toys and create my own alternate reality. :D
Summary: Anzu watches it snow.
Author's Notes: I love the snow. Okay only sometimes. It can be so pretty here especially on the Franklin Mountains making them look painted. I just wish it would snow here during the Christmas holidays. ^^;
It was snowing!
For Mazaki Anzu, this was her favorite type of weather. She enjoyed sitting by the window with a hot cup of chocolate in her hands just gazing out as the snow began to blanket her yard. It was the first time in days that she had been able to enjoy such beautiful weather.
Sighing contently she leaned her head against the wall. If it wasn't so cold sitting here by the window, she would have gladly fall asleep here but she knew she would end up catching a cold if she did so.
"I hope it snows forever."
