Summary: Rún's life has, as the saying goes, been Interesting.

Life was one of those things that couldn't be predicted, Rún mused, setting the Consort's Seal on a document.
If someone had told him when he was five that he'd live more than a hundred years, he would have laughed.
If they'd told him when he was thirty that he'd live to see a peacefully united planet, he'd have dismissed it as a pleasant but impossible dream.
And if they'd told him when he was seventy that he'd marry the boss's son and be happy about it, he'd have taken it as a threat.
Success could sneak up on you.
