Title: The Cruelty of Fate
Challenge/Prompt: #10 Fate
Original Fiction or Fanfiction [Name of fandom]: Days of Our Lives
Characters/Pairings: Colleen/Santo
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I don't own Days of Our Lives or it's sandbox. I am just here to play with the toys and create my own alternate reality. :D
Summary: Fate has a way of tearing apart lovers and starting wars.
Author's Notes: I cannot believe I am even touching this fandom. xD I didn't expect to write a single thing from here. I would have expected something like this to come from either Avatar or another anime but apparently my muse had something else in mind. By the way I didn't get to see the whole Santo/Colleen storyline and I haven't had much of a chance either to go through youtube to look them up to understand their story. I will admit that their present day counterparts are my guilty pleasure and I watch them whenever they have a scene together.

In another time and another place, the hands of Fate had brought two soul mates together allowing both of them to bask in the afterglow of their love. In an instant, she had become cruel and heartless tearing the two from each other’s arms and causing both souls to roam restlessly from one life to the next in search of each other.

For Colleen and Santo, this was their fate. Fate had brought them together but she had also torn them apart laying the groundwork to a war that would be generations in the making for the Bradys and DiMeras.

"I was listening to that," she said.

"Radio programs are a waste of time," he said, finger pressed firmly against the power switch.

"That's your opinion."

She stopped talking, as she caught a glimpse of his face. His eyes were clear and calm, but there was something unnatural hiding within his expression that she couldn't identify.

"I should go," he said.

"What's wrong?"

He hesitated, and she strained to hear him.

"Do you ever get the feeling..." He shook his head, and turned to leave. "Never mind."

"Wait, James..."

"Just promise me one thing, alright? Don't turn it back on."

Title: Foreshadowing
Challenge/Prompt: #10 Fate
Original Fiction
Characters/Pairings: Santiago/Jason, Michael
Rating: PG
Warnings: M/M relationship? Other than that, nothing...
Disclaimer: Mine.
Summary: Michael saw this coming years ago.
Author's Notes: Part of this universe. Which is, imo, getting too big. D:

"I spent the night at Santi's," Jason tells him on a Sunday morning, his voice sounding foreign over the speaker. "He's making some weird Mexican shit for breakfast."

Jason sounds disgusted, but Michael, who has spent his entire life deciphering the sum and all his parts, knows that what Jason isn't saying is more important than the words coming out of his mouth.

He also knows that Jason has never stayed long enough for someone to cook him breakfast.

This has been a long time coming, Michael thinks, closing his eyes, and practicing a smile that doesn't betray his bitterness.
