Snapshot: keyhole alleyway, two warm bodies by flickering neon, cooling corpse by shade.

Zoom in: Man, red eyes/ shaking hands/ fresh red stains on a chef's apron. Woman, kohl dark eyes/ green dress, black leggings and barefoot/ crowbar to hand.

Zoom in: Crowbar hooks. Pulpy, red, sticky. Drip, drip, Drip. Viscous, slick, sliding down and down.

"I didn't ask for this," he says. Looks at his hands: shaking, bloody - but not his blood.

"My white knight," crowbar tap to his shoulders, delivered with an elegant sneer. "So sorry I hurt the big bad wolf before you came to my rescue."
