 Jeremy needed to be taught a lesson.  His loud obnoxious mouth had crossed the line.  James called Jeremy to come by his house for a few drinks.  Jeremy loved his picks of wine and would drink them with no hesitation.   Getting him into a state that he would be relaxed was his plan, if Jeremy really had a problem, he could still be his loud obnoxious self.
