Title: A Good Year
Challenge/Prompt: #69 - bottle
Original Fiction or Fanfiction: Original
Characters/Pairings: Ayye, Sakuya, Alicia
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: Belongs to me!
Summary: Ayye raids Ziv's stash for treasure.

Ayye popped up with a bottle in his hand. The glass was green and the label was faded. “Oh, it’s a ’53!” he exclaimed, able to recognize the origin of the drink now that he got it out of the trunk and into the light.

“Is that good?” Sakuya wondered. Ayye, too caught up in his own world of illicit goods, was not forthcoming with an answer. “Alicia?”

“Haven’t the slightest, dear,” the armored midwife grinned.

Ayye set the bottle on the table and dove back into Ziv’s cellar. Apparently, there was nothing like pilfered junk to cheer him up.

Title: Night Breeze
Challenge/Prompt: #68- ocean
Original Fiction or Fanfiction: Original
Characters/Pairings: Bashir & Saselia
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: Belongs to me!
Summary: Bashir revisits his memories.

“I haven’t seen the ocean in a long time,” Bashir admitted. He drew his legs up and wrapped his arms around them. The wind was coming out of the north. The white tails of his hat drifted in the breeze.

Saselia rubbed her hands over her arms. Cold came to the shore with the coming of night. “But you have good memories of it?”

“Hmm?”

“That’s the impression you’re giving me.” She sat down beside him, scooting close against Bashir’s side.

Her closeness set him on edge, but she had pegged the memory right. “Yeah, you’re right- from my childhood.”

Title: Two's Not Company
Challenge/Prompt: #67 - shade
Original Fiction or Fanfiction: Original
Characters/Pairings: Tiokihawa & Ofika
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: Belongs to me!
Summary: Two people does not a party make.

“The sun’s coming around now. Tilt the umbrella to the right.” Emperor Tiokihawa made his request politely, but as younger emperor, any request he made to a servant would be considered an order.

The serving women hurried to cater to his whim. The younger emperor was pale and eschewed time in the sun. His daughter was just as fair. Today they were outside together to celebrate the first day of summer. The menu of the event was cold tea and sweet cakes topped with strawberries.

The umbrella whirled to shade them again. “Father, it’s lonely like this,” his daughter said.
