Title: Fool Me
Challenge/Prompt: #4, Drink
Original Fiction or Fanfiction [Name of fandom]: Original fic
Characters/Pairings: D. Risoria, Fei Hua
Rating: Er, PG-13 for mention of drug use?
Warnings: none
Disclaimer: none
Summary: In which our protagonist finds himself a little lighter in the accessories department, and the author has too much fun referencing kung fu flicks.
Author's Notes: Really, his judgment isn't terribly sound at the best of times.
He recognizes her from the opium den; she robbed him once, when he was lucid enough to notice but not enough to care. "Come," she calls, tipping a clear carafe over the slotted spoon balanced across the rim of a glass. Water sluices around the sugar cube placed there, turning the jade green liquid below a cloudy white. "Drink with me."
"I'd rather keep my watch today, thank you," he says dryly, but pulls up a chair.
Stroking his hand with an indulgent smile, she turns languidly to gesture for another glass, an all-too-familiar diamond cufflink winking from her sleeve.
