Somewhere in the world, there was an election. Score one for democracy, I thought, and let that be that. But somewhere in the world, a government lied. It happens, I said, and that's just that. But I heard, they're knifing protesters in the streets. But I heard, they're shutting down cell phones. But I heard, they’re shooting kids in their dorm rooms. And they didn't want us to hear.

So we Tweet, and blog, and do ope our ruby lips, here on the safe side of the world, and hope the other half knows we are with them in spirit.
