It was barely a kiss of a touch but it is enough to send a hairline fracture silently snaking across the windshield. Like a cobweb, weaving intricately yet speedily, until the entire pane is covered in little white lines and there isn't a part clear enough to see through. Behind the wheel a man bleeds but he will be fine. In the middle of the road another man lays motionless, arm at an odd angle, but he will be fine too. To his left, a pizza box is crushed and seeps its tomato sauce onto the cold grey paving slabs.
