Summary: Maloch needs Reese and therefore can’t express his anger toward her.
Author's Notes: This is preliminary work for nanowrimo this year.
"I don't get anything in this world."
Maloch turns a long suffering eye to her; he could wither her with a single look, but he needs her. His anger has to be sublimated for now. He shifts it into concern and raises his gaze. “It’s no easy thing to live here. You will learn.”
Reese won’t give up though she’s already accepted her inevitable defeat. Learning to survive is a little different from leaning how to live in this place. Maloch hasn’t considered her strength; he’s only protecting her for his own sake.
“Of course I will. I have to.”

“Deal with it.” He stands impassive, arms crossed as if protecting himself from her certain tirade.
“I’ve had just about enough of your emotional blackmail. And you can just shove that back into an envelope and return to fucking sender if you very well fucking please and thank you very fucking much. I’m not going to deal with any of this bullshit. It’s your goddamn mess, you clean it up. Frankly, by now, I would have thought that you’d be sick of hearing me rant about it. You know what? Fuck you. I am completely, ragingly sick of your shit.”
