Title: Present
Challenge/Prompt: #174 - Restless
Original Fiction or Fanfiction: Original Poem
Rating: PG
Summary: can a thirsty child thank to drink
Author's Notes: Is poetry accepted? I'm sort of nervous to post my poetry because I'm not sure it makes any sense. xD

once upon a time
is now,
our present already misremembered:
blood, flesh, tears forgotten
in the cold
soiled by footsteps
as arms heap up glittering stones.
we cannot give what we do not take.

blinding, untouchable, bland,
we scream
we are here!―and it echoes
as silence gives thanks that we are not.

nothing
was before us, before me.
we are creation.
we give and we take away
and we leave nothing
wasted.

the seas are mine
the stars are mine
wave, tear, hide, watch,
myself, mine to borrow.
can a thirsty child thank to drink
a drop
from endless lakes?

Title: Opposing Wills
Challenge/Prompt: #174: Restless
Original Fiction or Fanfiction: Original (Andeliin)
Characters/Pairings: Kickback, and the Other
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Summary: Sometimes multiple minds aren't designed for sniper missions.
Author's Notes: Andeliin is mine mine mine.

The Other prowled, annoyed and restless, through his mind and body as if he were a hollow thing, its pen or den or cage. It made holding the rifle steady a bit more of an adventure than it should have been.

Sit DOWN, he tried thinking at it, keeping his finger well away from the trigger. He couldn't blow his cover.

The Other didn't care about human politics, however. It was cold, and bored, and wanted to remedy both, right now. It snarled at him, backing the snarl with angry will.

Kickback took a deep mental breath. SIT, he demanded.
