Title: Fear
Challenge/Prompt: # 110 death
Original Fiction: Shadows in the distance
Characters/Pairings: Alan, Caithlynn
Rating: PG
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: Mine
Summary: Alan and Caithlynn thinking about death and the fate of the world resting on their shoulders.

“Do you fear death?”
She looks up when he finally speaks. Surprised. “What?”
He doesn’t look at her, just continues gazing at the fire. “Do you fear death?”
They are whispering, not wanting to wake Frey.
“I guess I do. Yet part of me doesn’t. I don’t know Alan…”
She looks away, staring at the stars high above them. “I am afraid. Not sure if I’m afraid to die, really, not after all the battles. But… I am afraid to fail…”
She doesn’t need to continue. Because if one fails, all fail. And if all fail, the world is lost…

Title: The End
Challenge/Prompt: 110 - Death
Fanfiction: Tales of the Abyss
Characters/Pairings: Asch the Bloody
Rating: PG
Warnings: Character Death
Disclaimer: I don't own Tales of the Abyss
Summary: The end is near for the God General
Author's Notes: I have no idea where this Asch muse is coming from, not gonna lie. ^^;;

He could feel his life draining out. As Asch stared at the swords stained with crimson blood, very few thoughts were running through his mind. As the numb sensation began running its course from the tips of his fingertips, his thoughts lingered to his family.

The Mother he’ll never see again.

The Father he’d never speak to again.

The dreck...

Asch smiled. To think that a Replica would finish his task in his place left the bloodied God General with a bittersweet feeling inside. He’d bought the Replica all the time that he could.

The end was about to approach.
