Summary: Restoring old reactors is a risky business.
Rún raised his hand, letting the others know the test would commence, and gave the staff time to get behind blast shields before pressing the button.
The reactors hummed gently to life, the dial readings normal. Nothing looked like exploding or melting. He exhaled. Around him, behind their safety screens, quiet, semiprofessional cheers and highfives were going on.
It wasn't that these men feared science. As for himself it was their bread and butter. It was just that renovating a reactor a mad scientist had used to make horrors out of people was a bit beyond the call of duty.
