The night the twins came to our town, the skies rained ice. Quicksilver slivers, delivering fatal mercy. Our dead whispered bliss before their eyes faded.
"Your fault," I accused them, but after losing out to my lust. Couldn't help it. He was beautiful. She was radiant. Together, they were delicious, exquisite. Dusky skin and voices like honey-wine, dark eyes as old as the desert.
"Yes," she smiled, her palm to his lips. "A Jinn's tears," he murmured.
"She gave us her heart," she said.
"But we got bored," he said.
I reached for them again, hungry for another little death.
