He almost didn’t make it out of there.  A few swings from other patrons and then he ducked out before the real mess started in the pub.  Escaping, he found himself a few doors down in the dark misty night.  He narrowly got out from the angry mob. 

 

Looking at his watch, it was too early in the evening for him to go back to his lonely flat.  Opening his cell phone, he rang his friend James to see if he was up for some company and perhaps taking a few moments to check the bruising he was already feeling.
