"Tell me," Marcus whispers.

Zach stretches and settles himself closer to Marcus. "Tell you what?"

"A wish." Marcus brushes a kiss across Zach's brow. "Tell me something you've wished for."

"A new bicycle."

Marcus snorts. "A wish from this decade, boy."

Zach smiles against Marcus' chest. "Wanted to work vice."

"Achieved. Another."

"Happiness."

Marcus tightens his grip, pulling Zach in closer to him. "And how is that wish panning out?"

Zach lets his mind drift for a minute, floats among images of Marcus, and their friends, their dates, and their play.

"Pretty good." Grinning, he says, "Pretty damned good, indeed."
