Title: Aging
Challenge/Prompt: #13 Boy
Original Fiction
Characters/Pairings: Jason, Santiago
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: Mine.
Summary: The world doesn't shift on its axis the first time Jason hears the name Micah.
Author's Notes: Despite all the backstory/character outlines I've done for this verse, it surprises me that this is the first time I'm writing (mentioning, rather) anything about Micah. D:
"It'll be easy," Santiago says. "Just make sure he eats and sleeps and doesn't, like, die or something."
"You must be beyond dumb to think I could possibly take care of a child," Jason responds, snorting, putting the phone on speaker as he opens the fridge.
Santiago's laughter echoes in the kitchen. "He's seventeen, Jase, not some little boy."
"To me he is," Jason mutters, feeling older than twenty-eight, and debating the merits of drinking wine at 4:30.
"What was that?"
"Nothing," he answers, closing the fridge. "What's the boy's name?"
"Thank you Jason," Santiago says, his obvious relief making Jason smile. "His name is Micah."
